Where album art lives
Music files can carry their cover image inside them: in the ID3 tag of an MP3, the metadata of an M4A, or a picture block in FLAC and OGG. That's how a player shows the cover without going online.
This tool pulls the cover out at its full size so you can save it, check its quality, or use it for a playlist.

- M4A / AAC
- FLAC and OGG

Questions and answers
How do I get the album art out of an MP3?
Drop the MP3 into the box above. If it has a cover, you'll see it straight away with a button to download it at full size.
Why does my song have no cover art?
The cover isn't saved in the file. Apps like Spotify and Apple Music show covers they fetch separately, and many downloaded or ripped files have none.
What size is album art usually?
Anything from 300 × 300 to 3000 × 3000 pixels. Streaming services use at least 1400 × 1400 for new releases.
Does it work with M4A and FLAC files?
Yes. M4A, FLAC, OGG, Opus and other formats that can hold a cover are supported.
Can a song have more than one picture?
Yes, for example a front and back cover. We show the first one; all metadata lists every picture.
What happens to my file?
Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, read on our servers and deleted automatically after about 24 hours. The answer is kept on a page with its own link, so you can share it. Tool result pages are never listed in search engines.
