How PowerPoint stores the pictures on your slides
A .pptx file is a package of files: one for each slide, and a separate image file for every picture placed on them. A picture used on several slides is stored only once. This tool reads the package, matches each picture to the first slide that shows it and gives you the original files.
You get each picture as it was inserted, not as it looks on the slide: crops, borders, effects and resizing are added by PowerPoint when it shows the slide. Videos and sounds are kept in the same package, and our PowerPoint video extractor takes those out.

Questions and answers
Why don't some pictures have a slide number?
Backgrounds and logos placed on the slide master or a layout belong to the design, not to one slide, so they have no slide number.
Can I get the slides themselves as pictures?
This tool takes out the pictures saved in the file, not images of whole slides. To save slides as pictures, use File, Export in PowerPoint and choose PNG or JPEG.
Does it work with Google Slides or Keynote?
Yes, once you save the presentation as a .pptx file. In Google Slides use File, Download, Microsoft PowerPoint; in Keynote use File, Export To, PowerPoint. Then drop that file here.
Does it work with old .ppt files?
Not yet. Open the presentation in PowerPoint, save it as .pptx and drop that file instead.
Who can see the pictures?
You can, straight away, in the browser you uploaded from. If you share the result link, others have to sign in to open the pictures, and result pages never appear in search engines. To remove them, open the full results, choose Report, then "Permanently delete this page".
What happens to my file?
Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, read on our servers and deleted automatically after about 24 hours. The answer is kept on a page with its own link, so you can share it. Tool result pages are never listed in search engines.
