What a presentation records about itself
PowerPoint saves a summary with every deck: the number of slides, how many are hidden, how many have speaker notes, how many media clips it contains, the slide size and who wrote it.
It's a quick way to check a deck before a meeting, or to spot hidden slides and private speaker notes before you send it to a client.

Questions and answers
How do I find hidden slides in a PowerPoint?
Drop the file into the box above to see how many slides are hidden. In PowerPoint, hidden slides appear greyed out with a crossed number in the slide list.
Do speaker notes go with the file when I send it?
Yes. Anyone who opens the PPTX can read them. Export to PDF without notes, or delete them, if they're private.
Why is the slide count missing?
The count comes from the summary PowerPoint saves. Decks made by some converters or online apps don't include it.
Can I get the pictures and videos out?
Yes, with our Extract Images from PowerPoint and Extract Video from PowerPoint tools.
Does it work with Keynote?
Export the Keynote file as PowerPoint first, then drop the PPTX here.
What happens to my file?
Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, read on our servers and deleted automatically after about 24 hours. The answer is kept on a page with its own link, so you can share it. Tool result pages are never listed in search engines.
